The 2011 Golden Globes Awards: HFPA on Crack

Ah how to begin this year with the shittiest awards show I've ever seen. There has never been so much injustice in one room alone till now. To see the hard work of actors who deserved the awards thrown out the window. Let's start from the bottom up on this page

Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in a Series, Mini-Series or Motion Picture Made for Television- Chris Colfer

This win was amazing. Chris Colfer deserved it, he's worked very hard for this, and I have no complaints. Thank you HFPA, you got this one right.

Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in a Series, Mini-Series or Motion Picture Made for Television-Jane Lynch

Jane, you deserved this. You're amazing. Don't change. Another right by the HFPA

Best Performance by an Actor in a Mini-Series or Motion Picture Made for Television
-Al Pacino

Didn't see this, but I'm sure Pacino deserves it since he won the DeMille award.

Best Performance by an Actress In A Mini-series or Motion Picture Made for Television-Claire Daniels

Heard that this was an amazing movie, must see it before I judge.

Best Mini-Series Or Motion Picture Made for Television-Carlos

Did not see this either, so I can't judge.

Best Performance by an Actor In A Television Series - Comedy Or Musical-Jim Parsons

Hooray for Jim! Big Bang Theory has been getting a lot of attention so I figured he would win. All of the nominees were great, although, I would've loved to see Steve Carrell win it because it's his last season on The Office and he's never won it before.

Best Performance by an Actress In A Television Series - Comedy Or Musical-Laura Linney

Who is this girl? I just felt bad for Lea Michelle, because Chris Colfer won an award, and I believe Lea does amazing as Rachel Berry. But Glee can't win it all. Oh well.

Best Television Series - Comedy Or Musical-Glee

Okay, I love Glee, A whole lot. But I think a lot of you Gleeks out there will agree that it hasn't been it's best this season. I'm thoroughly disappointed with Glee season2. Maybe it didn't deserve to win this golden globe.

Best Performance by an Actor In A Television Series - Drama-Steve Buscemi

I knew he'd win it. It's HBO, and it's Steve Buscemi. Come on. Also, Dexter Season 5 was anticlimatic and as much as I love Michael C. Hall, he won the award last year.

Best Performance by an Actress In A Television Series - Drama-Katey Sagal

From what I've heard, Sons of Anarchy is a great show, but I can't judge this win.

Best Television Series - Drama-Boardwalk Empire

Can't judge this win.

Best Original Song - Motion Picture-One of the Burlesque songs

Don't really care about this win.

Best Original Score - Motion Picture-Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross for The Social Network

This is what got me boiling. I'm sorry, but it's Hans Zimmer. Really people? The score was BEAUTIFUL it was GORGEOUS it's part of what got the whole blood pumping. It sets the mood perfectly and I believe that Hans Zimmer was robbed.

Best Screenplay - Motion Picture-Aaron Sorkin for The Social Network

Okay, this win made me LIVID. For one, Chris Nolan created an entire world on his own, and put it into a movie that shocked and awed audiences around America. It made you think. Social Network? Politics. How long did it take to write that movie? Probably not as long as Chris Nolan spent writing Inception. He started writing it EIGHT YEARS AGO. And he put a lot of hard work and dedication into it. It's a gorgeous screenplay. It's beautiful. I'm so sorry Chris, you were so robbed.

Best Director - Motion Picture-David Fincher for The Social Network

No. Absolutely not. You call David Fincher a great director? Did anyone SEE Jesse Eisenberg act in that movie? No, I didn't think so. That was because he acted like Jesse Eisenberg. He is the male Kristen Stewart. I'm sorry, but Chris Nolan was obviously the better of the two. Sorry Chris. Robbed again.

Best Foreign Language Film-In A Better World.

Uh, I don't watch many foreign language films.

Best Animated Feature Film-Toy Story 3

We all saw that one coming.

Best Performance by an Actor In A Supporting Role in a Motion Picture-Christian Bale

Christian Bale is a pretty good actor and I didn't see The Fighter, but it's possible that this was a well deserved award.

Best Performance by an Actress In A Supporting Role in a Motion Picture-Melissa Leo

I would've rather had Amy Adams win it. Or Mila Kunis.

Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture - Comedy Or Musical-Paul Giamatti

It's embarrassing for Johnny Depp, he was nominated twice.

Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture - Comedy Or Musical-Annette Bening

Don't really care about this one either.

Best Motion Picture - Comedy Or Musical-The Kids Are All Right

I don't care about this one much either. The nominees weren't that interesting.

Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture - Drama-Colin Firth

Better than Jesse Eisenberg, who god knows shouldn't have been nominated.

Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture - Drama-Natalie Portman

Yes. HFPA you got this one right. Natalie was gorgeous in Black Swan and she captivated audiences. Perfect.

Best Motion Picture - Drama-The Social Network.

This is the biggest outrage of the year. I'm sorry, but Social Network was not the best. There were four other movies, and though I haven not seen all of them, I know they were better than Social Network. The King's Speech? Yes. The Fighter? Yes. Black Swan? Yes. Inception? Absolutely. HFPA, this is where we know you are on crack. I think that maybe they just couldn't pick one out of the four other movies that were absolutely amazing so they keep picking the really shitty one as a way out. Unfair HFPA. Unfair. Once again, Inception was robbed.
